Meet Dr. Crystal Decker
Dr. Decker is a life-long Buckeye and earned her Bachelor’s degree (2005) and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (2009) at The Ohio State University. Following graduation, she completed a rotating small animal internship at Hollywood Animal Hospital in Florida. Dr. Decker has worked in emergency, high volume spay/neuter, and general practice.
Dr. Decker’s professional interests include soft tissue surgery, emergency medicine, critical care, and oncology. She is excited to build life-long patient care relationships by helping families navigate their pet’s various life stages. Outside of the office, Dr. Decker is an avid reader and an active member of her church community. She enjoys spending time with her husband and spoiling their dog, Gertie. Their family often enjoys all the great things the Hilliard community offers or holding their breath watching OSU football!
Meet Dr. Farol Chanan
Dr. Chanan graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing for 42 years. When it comes to veterinary medicine and patient care, Dr. Chanan prides herself in good puppy starts, wellness and preventative medicine, and patient follow up. In her spare time, Dr. Chanan takes care of her horses, mows, and shows her dog.
Meet Dr. Julia Azarcon
Dr. Julia graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing since June of 2021. She prides herself in her ability to form long-term relationships with her clients and patients, watching and helping them grow up healthy. In her free time, Dr. Julia enjoys watching movies, playing video games and board games, hiking, and baking.
Meet Dr. Allyson Bond
Dr. Allyson Bond grew up in Medina, Ohio, prior to moving to Columbus, Ohio, to attend The Ohio State University for her undergraduate studies. After completing undergrad, Dr. Bond went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Animal Sciences, specializing in Cardiology. She graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Bond has been practicing in central Ohio for seven years now. She has a passion for surgery, internal medicine, and client communication. Outside of work, you can find Dr. Bond tasting new food at local Columbus restaurants, spending time with her family and friends, or checking off travel destinations from her never-ending bucket list. Dr. Bond currently resides in Hilliard, Ohio, with her husband, Randy, her two children, Reese and Parker, and her dog, Dex.
Valerie has been working in veterinary medicine since 2005. She is a graduate of Denison University with a degree in Communication and a minor in Sociology. She also graduated from Penn Foster College for Veterinary Technology. She is Fear Free Certified, and as a technician, she loves anesthesia and making sure each procedure is focused on patient safety. As a practice manager, she focuses on associating with our team and developing them to become leaders.
In her free time, she loves to watch soccer and is a Columbus Crew and Chelsea F.C. fan. She enjoys live music and concerts, playing darts, and traveling. At home, she and her husband enjoy cuddling with their two tuxedo cats, Basil and Barley.
Emily graduated from the Vet Tech institute at Bradford School and has been in the veterinary industry for 10 years. She prides herself in her attention to detail, task orientation, and advocating for pet care. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dog, camping, taking road trips, traveling, playing video games, and reading.
Meet Samantha! Samantha brings 10 years of experience to The Animal Hospital of Dublin team. She graduated from the Vet Tech Institute at Bradford School. She prides herself in helping pet owners understand and navigate their pet’s various life stages and diseases processes. When not caring for your pets, you can find her reading, crafting, and helping her husband chase after their toddler.
Duane has been practicing veterinary medicine for 46 years. After graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Missouri – Columbia, he received his Veterinary Technician degree from The Vet Tech Institute at Bradford. Duane prides himself in practicing curative medicine, with his ultimate goal being to send healthy patients home to their loving families. In Duane’s free time, he enjoys reading and volunteering with the Westerville Fire Search Team and the Westerville Police Department.
Tessa graduated with her Veterinary Technology Degree from The Vet Tech Institute at Bradford. She is currently a Ph.D. student at The Ohio State University studying Anthropology focusing on Primatology. In practice, she prides herself in taking a personal interest in learning about each patient’s unique needs and tailoring patient-specific care. When you ask Tessa what she likes to do in her free time, she will ask you, “Free time? What’s free time?” In addition to being a student, she teaches undergraduates, runs a non-profit organization, and dances with a company based in Cleveland. Prized free moments are spent outdoors or cuddling with her wife, two dogs, and two cats on the couch, watching 90’s sitcoms.
Tess graduated with her Veterinary Technician degree in 2015 from Brown Mackie College. She has been working in the veterinary field for 8 years. In practice, Tess loves helping animals and their owners. Connecting with clients and client communication are important parts of her healthcare plan for each of her patients. She also enjoys dentistry. When not at work, Tess enjoys reading, drawing, and spending time with her husband as well as her two dogs and two cats.
Dominique has been practicing as a Registered Veterinary Technician for 6 years. She graduated from the Columbus State Veterinary Technology program in 2016. In practice, she most enjoys helping her clients create a strong bond with their pets by focusing on client education and great medicine. In Dominique’s free time she likes to play video games, sew and read. At home, she spends time cuddling with her two dogs Duncan & Dela, and her two cats Axl & Tanuki.
Kallie graduated from Ohio State University with an Associate’s in Animal Science with a concentration in Equine and a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science with a concentration in Animal Industries. She brings 5 years of experience to The Animal Hospital of Dublin team. She prides herself in watching pets grow happy and healthy, helping them when they’re sick, and surgery. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, reading, and taking her dog everywhere.
Hallie attended Bradford and had been working in the veterinary industry for 9 years. She prides herself in enjoying client communication and education and improving staff culture. In her free time, she is an avid cheesemaker, enjoys knitting, spending time with family, and chasing fireflies.
Amber brings 5 years of experience to The Animal Hospital of Dublin team and graduated from the University of Findlay. She prides herself in educating clients on their pet’s health and helping them to better understand the field of veterinary medicine and their pet’s needs. She enjoys cooking, playing video games, and reading. She also loves to spoil her fish and cat with treats and love.
Lauren has been practicing for nine years and is currently enrolled in Veterinary school at The Ohio State University. She enjoys the therapeutic side of veterinary medicine and prides herself on her ability to treat and heal. Her joy comes when she is able to help pets regain their health and go home strong and happy. When not at work or studying, you can find Lauren reading, hanging out with friends, and spending time with her Pomeranian Bruiser.
Jeremy graduated from Ohio State as his undergrad and has been in the veterinary industry for 8 years. He is currently attending Ohio State again for veterinary school. He prides himself in his ability to form relationships with clients and their pets. In his free time, you can find him running, cooking, doing yard projects, and hiking with his wife and dogs.
Taylor is currently a student in the Veterinary Technician program through Penn Foster. She has been working in the veterinary field for over a year. When it comes to veterinary medicine and patient care, Taylor prides herself in her empathy for pets and their parents, and the ability to treat each pet as she would her own. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with her boyfriend and pets (2 dogs and 3 cats).
Client Service Representative
Faith graduated from Hilliard Bradley High School. She is new to veterinary medicine but is attending Penn Foster College with ambitions of becoming a registered veterinary technician. At work she prides herself on client education, being an active listener, and being an advocate for animal care. In Faith’s free time she likes to read and hang out with her friends. On warm days she enjoys taking her dog to the park.
